Legalisation requirements for Iran

Document for use in Iran first needs to be legalised by way of FCDO Apostille and then submitted to the Consulate of Iran for further attestation.

FEES

The consular fee is £66 per commercial document and £33 per private document. For some commercial documents, the Consulate on rare occasion may charge extra per document depending on the content but it can only be confirmed on submission, if applicable.

PROCESSING TIME

The consular processing time is likely to be 3 working days.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Commercial documents can be either Apostilled by the UK FCDO or attested by the London Chamber of Commerce only before being submitted to the Consulate for legalisation.

For the legalisation of private Powers of Attorney, the Consulate requires the document holder’s appearance at the consular section with their original passport. They no longer accept the legalisation of private Powers of Attorney via Agents.

Method of payment: Bank transfer only.

Opening hours for legalisation: 9:00 am to 12:00 noon Tuesdays and Thursdays only.
