Legalisation requirements for Yemen
Document for use in the Republic of Yemen first needs to be legalised by way of FCDO Apostille and then submitted to the Consulate of Yemen for further attestation.
Commercial documents require further attestation by the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) before submitting to the Consulate of Yemen for further legalisation.
FEES
The consular fee is £70 per private document if submitted by the document holder OR £400 if submitted via an Agent.
For commercial documents, the fee is £459.70 per document including the LCCI/ABCC fees.
PROCESSING TIME
The consular processing time is likely to be 1-2 working days for the legalisation of private documents OR 8-10 working days for the legalisation of commercial documents via the London and Arab-British Chambers.
IMPORTANT NOTES
For commercial documents, three photocopies of the document is required on submission to the LCCI/ABCC.
The name and address of the Consignee or Agent in Yemen must appear on the document such as Power of Attorney/Authorisation of Agent.
Method of payment: cash only (for submission directly to the Consulate) or card, company cheque or bank transfer (for submission to the LCCI)
